The Wild have effectively saved Mike Yeo’s job, winning back-to-back games after losing six in a row.
But injury issues continue to crop up for Minnesota, and the squad already missing Zach Parise will now be without defenseman Jared Spurgeon for “a few weeks” as he recovers from a lower-body injury.
The ailment is rumored to be similar to Parise’s, a broken foot, according to Michael Russo of the Star Tribune.
Filling Spurgeon’s spot will be winger Brett Bulmer, who was recalled from Iowa Saturday.
Bulmer has played five games for Minnesota this year, getting off seven shots and logging a -2 in the plus-minus department.
The Wild are back on the ice in Los Angeles at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
