The Wild take on the Dallas Stars for the second time in four days Tuesday after Minnesota won 3-2 in overtime Saturday.
Here’s a few notes to get you prepped for the clash between Minnesota’s current team and Minnesota’s former team.
Goalie Josh Harding, who hasn’t played in a game in 2014 as he continues to work through complications surrounding his Multiple Sclerosis, practiced again over the weekend, but there is still no timetable for his return.
According to the Pioneer Press, head coach Mike Yeo expressed feelings that when Harding is ready to return, whenever that may be, he may take a rehab stint with the Iowa Wild.
Speaking of Iowa, that’s where defenseman Jonathon Blum is headed.
With Keith Ballard back in the lineup, who Blum was playing for following an inconsistent run of play by the former Vancouver Canuck, Minnesota sent Blum to Iowa to keep getting the former first-round pick playing time.
As for winger Zach Parise, who hasn’t played since December 22 as he recovers from a broken foot, rumors are swirling that he could be back to game action as soon as Thursday.
Parise’s expected recovery time was 4-6 weeks when he was originally diagnosed with the injury, meaning a Thursday return would put him right on the low end of that timetable.
With the possible late-week return coming, it sounds as if Parise will ramp up contact before returning to meaningful games.
Wild-Stars at 7 p.m. from Dallas Tuesday.
