Despite hopes to the contrary, the Minnesota will be without Jason Pominville in Tuesday’s series opener against the Blackhawks, the AP reports.
Pominville, who missed the final two regular-season games after being elbowed in the head last Tuesday, returned to practice Monday and traveled with the team to Chicago. But Pominville skipped Tuesday morning’s skate around and Wild coach Mike Yeo told reporters he’s “not quite ready.”
The scratch shuffles the line up a bit, with Cal Clutterbuck forming a line with Pierre-Marc Bouchard and Kyle Brodziak. Jason Zucker will remain on the second line with Matt Cullen and Devin Setoguchi.
Pominville had four goals and nine points in 10 regular-season games for the Wild after being traded from Buffalo.
