According to the Star Tribune, the Wild are also scouring the trade market looking for another goaltender. Minnesota has reportedly contacted Carolina regarding the availability of Cam Ward, there are a few other goaltenders reported to be on the market as well.
Kuemper’s move was one of several the Wild made Thursday. According to 1500 ESPN, in addition to Curry the Wild also called up Jonathon Blum and Jordan Schroeder from the Iowa Wild.
Blum will add depth along the blue line, with Marco Scandella expected to miss the game with an upper-body injury. Schroeder could play with Zach Parise away from the team following the death of his father – former North Star, J.P. Parise.
