Firstov, 22, played 10 games with the Iowa Wild last season, posting four points (2 goals, 2 assists) and a plus-minus of plus-one. He’s played 19 games over the last three seasons with Iowa after being taken in the second round of the 2019 NHL draft.
Firstov has also spent time in the KHL across the last two seasons on a loan from the Wild, recording 61 points (28 goals, 33 assists) and a plus-minus of plus-12 with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod.
The Wild signed Firstov to an entry-level contract in 2022. Firstov’s contract would have run through the 2024-25 season had it not been terminated.
