That didn’t take long.
An hour after opening single-game ticket sales to the public, the Minnesota Wild sent out the following Tweet:
#mnwild opening night (Jan. 19) and Feb. 17 vs Detroit are officially sold out!! #letsplayhockey

This morning, 150 Wild fans lined up at Xcel Energy Center waiting for the box office to open. The Associated Press says about 20 people spend the night outside the arena.
Later, the Star Tribune reported that the team had the biggest “on-sale” day for tickets in team franchise history.
That, after the NHL lockout wiped out 17 home games.
Tonight in a free preview, the Wild will hold a scrimmage at XCel Energy Center. No tickets are available, due to heavy demand. The doors open at 6 p.m., with the puck dropping at 7 p.m.
