Minnesota Wild 3
Carolina Hurricanes 2
The Minnesota Wild picked up a big road win in Carolina Thursday night, beating the Hurricanes 3-2 in overtime. It was Minnesota’s first overtime victory of the season.
1. Dubnyk shuts the door
Devan Dubnyk made 37 saves and single-handedly kept the Wild in the game early. He was under fire all night as the Hurricanes peppered him with shots.
No matter how many pucks kept flying at him, the Wild netminder only had one thing to say.

2. Zucker comes through late
Jason Zucker came through when the Wild needed him. He had a pair of goals to lead the Wild attack. Zucker’s first goal of the night put Minnesota on the scoreboard and helped switch the momentum.

3. Third time is the charm
The Wild had gone 0-2 in their first two overtime games, while Carolina had won all three of their trips beyond the third period.
But that all changed Thursday when Zucker beat Cam Ward for his second goal of the night, giving the Wild a win on a night when they were outshot 39-21.

We just can’t get enough of all of these Thomas Vanek goals! This was his seventh of the season, and pulled the Wild even at two.
