It’s a done deal.
The Wild will move to into a new conference next season with Chicago, St. Louis, Nashville, Dallas, Colorado and Winnipeg.
The NHL Board of Governors approved the move today, a week after the players union had OK’d the move.
According to the Wild’s official website, the realignment plan creates two eight-team divisions in the Eastern Conference and two seven-team divisions in the Western Conference. The names of the divisions will be decided at a later date.
