Monday night, the Wild ended a long losing streak in Vancouver, grabbing their first win on the Canuck’s home ice in 11 tries, dating back to 2009.
Tonight, Minnesota tries to end another drought on the road, as they battle the Red Wings in Detroit in a nationally-televised game (NBCSportsChannel) at Joe Louis Arena.
The Wild haven’t won in regulation in the Motor City since January of 2006, compiling a 3-10-0 record since then, according to Fox Sports North. Two of those wins were in overtime, and one was a shootout victory.
In January, the Wild lost at Detroit, 5-3 — but evened up the season series at the X with a 3-2 win last month.
