The Xcel Energy Center will be jam-packed Wednesday night when the Wild hosts an intra-squad scrimmage. Michael Russo writes that it will be a “real scrimmage” with real referees, 20-minute periods and 18-minute intermissions.
Defenseman Jared Spurgeon will play for both teams during the scrimmage, but only when either team is on a power play.
