The Minnesota Wild out-hit the Flyers in Philadelphia Tuesday night, but they lost on the scoreboard. Philly’s 5-1 win sent the Wild to its 14th loss in 16 games.
Josh Harding stopped 29 of 34 shots, but allowed three goals over a six minute stretch in the second period and Minnesota couldn’t recover.
Darrell Powe scored the lone goal for the Wild, his fourth of the season. Warren Peters and Mike Lundin provided the assist.
NHL rookie and former Bemidji State standout Matt Read had two assists for the Flyers. Read will play for the Eastern Conference at the All-Star Game later this month.
