The Minnesota Wild lost to the Chicago Blackhawks, 4-1, in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals Sunday afternoon.
Now the Wild has some winning to do as the series heads to Minnesota for Game 3 on Tuesday night. The Wild has been down 2-0 before – last round, Minnesota was down 2-0 against the Colorado Avalanche, but rallied to win the series.
Last season, the Wild went down 2-0 against the Blackhawks and came back to win Game 3, before ultimately losing the series in five games.
“I’m not sitting here saying that we’re feeling good about the fact that we’re down two-nothing,” Yeo said Sunday, according to the Pioneer Press. “But at the same time, I’m not saying this feels like last year. I do think we played better in these two games and I feel more confident that, if we can get completely on top of our game, we have a chance to get back in this thing.”
On Sunday, the Blackhawks notched two unanswered goals in the first two periods, a wrister from Jonathan Toews in the first and another from Brandon Saad in the second, the Wild says.
The Wild’s Cody McCormick scored his first goal of the playoffs two minutes into the third period to inch the Wild closer, but Chicago answered back with a goal from Bryan Bickell at 17:15 and an empty netter from Saad with 1:23 left in regulation, the Star Tribune reports.

The Wild returns to Minnesota for some must-win games. The first is Tuesday, the puck drops at 8 p.m. Game 4 is set for Friday.
