Kyle Brodziak and Matt Cullen scored regulation goals for the Wild, and Erik Christensen and Cullen scored in the shootout to give the Wild a 3-2 win over the Florida Panthers.
Niklas Backstrom, who has struggled in shootouts, stopped both Florida shots he faced. Overall, he stopped 41 of 43 shots. It’s a nice encore to his 48 save shutout over the defending Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins on Sunday.
