After torching the net on 13-of-23 3-point shots against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, the Timberwolves are officially the most accurate 3-point shooting team in the NBA.
The Wolves are making 41.3 percent of their 3-pointers. The next best are the Spurs (39.1 percent), Pacers (38.9 percent) and the Jazz (37.7 percent).
This is shocking, really. Minnesota’s 3-point shooting rank the past five years has been dreadful.

But it’s still hard to say Minnesota is the best 3-point shooting team in the league, having made just 63 three compared to the Rockets, who lead the league with 104 threes. And the Rockets are just one of 19 teams with more made threes than the Wolves.
Can the Wolves shoot close to or above 40 percent all season?
Time will tell, but it’s pretty safe to say Andrew Wiggins won’t lead the NBA in 3-point shooting percentage like he is now with an incredible 63.6 percent (14-of-22).
Zach LaVine, though, might have a case to lead the league from deep. He was 7-of-9 from three en route to scoring 37 points against the Magic and he’s currently fifth in the league at 48.9 percent (22-of-45).
