There have been a lot of great players since the Vikings landed in Minnesota in 1961, but Cris Carter is the best of the best, according to a fellow named Brad Rowland, who writes for FanSided.
Alan Page and Randy Moss were mentioned as players that crossed Rowland’s mind when making his pick for the best Viking ever, but that’s just one man’s opinion.

In 2011, the Vikings celebrated 50 years in Minnesota by unveiling the 50 Greatest Vikings, which includes every name listed above.
NBC Sports did a “Faces of the Franchise” series a couple of years ago and replaced the presidents on Mount Rushmore with Page, Carter, Peterson and Tarkenton.
