According to KARE/BMTN sports guy Eric Perkins, Gardy was greeted with the “Tim” banner this morning at the 2013 Winter Caravan kickoff at K-TWIN-FM radio (the new home of the Twins). Why Tim? Simply to celebrate an innocent on-air gaffe made by another radio station a long time ago.
Heartwarming stuff, especially on a day when single digits rule. Also in attendance: Twins prospect Brian Dozier, seen with the manager warming up with a cup:

After its kickoff in downtown Minneapolis, the caravan then headed to Northfield, Owatonna and Mankato for the day. The 10-day tour wraps up next Thursday, followed by TwinsFestat the Metrodome Jan. 25-27.
