White Earth Nation on Thursday pitched the tribe’s proposal to build a casino in the Twin Cities metro and split the revenue 50-50 with the state.
A chairwoman for the tribe says it’s the most acceptable way to fund a new stadium for the Vikings, calling it “the only solution that is fair to all Minnesotans.” Forum Communications has more on that story.
Meanwhile, a new plan to build a Vikings stadium behind the Metrodome could come as early as Thursday or Friday, the Star Tribune is reporting.
The newspaper says stadium officials worked late into the night Wednesday on a plan to put a new stadium over 11th Avenue S., on the east side of the Dome.
Ted Mondale, the chairman of the Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission, says he hopes to have an announcement within days.
