Was Sebastian Joe’s ice cream worth a three-hour flight from Atlanta to Minneapolis?
Whatever the reason, nobody could figure out why Atlanta Hawks center Dwight Howard was in the Twin Cities last week.
Was he here for the fishing opener? To hang out on Lake Minnetonka with his teammate Kris Humprhies? To get his fix of WNBA action? He is a self-described WNBA super fan.
“Had fun in the city of purple rain,” Howard wrote on Instagram. “Back to the A we go.”

Howard definitely wasn’t in Minnesota to visit the Timberwolves. He’s signed with his hometown Hawks through 2019.
It turns out that Howard and other athletes were in Eden Prairie visiting the Orthology clinic, which specializes in physical wellness management. Doctor Josh Sandell tweeted photos with Howard, Atlanta’s Paul Millsap and Orlando’s Jodie Meeks.
Just check out Dr. Sandell’s Twitter page and you’ll see a very long list of recognizable athletes who come to him, including Larry Fitzgerald, Kyle Rudolph, Chad Greenway, Harrison Smith, Adrian Peterson and many others.
Before Howard left, he made a stop at Sebastian Joe’s ice cream in Uptown, even posing for a photo with a couple of guys.
