There is no secret that a lot of the Minnesota Timberwolves success will depend on just how much Karl-Anthony Towns can improve in his second NBA season.

While that might be a little optimistic, many of those in NBA circles think Towns is going to be nothing short of great this year.
Slam Magazine, which has already named him as one of the 50 greatest players in the league today, put him on their Preseason All-NBA Second team along with stars Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Davis, James Harden and Damian Lillard – that’s pretty elite company for a guy who isn’t yet 21 years old.
NBA.com ranks him as the second best big man in the league, noting that Towns excelled in the pick-and-roll and connected on 51 percent of his shots from 16 to 24 feet, and can do this.

However, the website says under Tom Thibodeau expect to see Towns’ biggest improvements on defense.
The general consensus around Towns is that he’s bound for NBA superstardom. NBA TV debated if he was the best player in the league for a team to build around.
