Miguel Sano hasn’t driven in a run since May 12. That was like … a whole week ago.
Expect this mini problem to go away starting Friday night against the Royals. Sano has completely ripped Kansas City pitching this season to the tune of 9-for-18 with 3 homers, 2 doubles, 1 triple, 14 RBI and 9 runs in just five games.
Statistically, that’s for 30% of his homers (10), 46.7% of his RBI (30) and 33.3% of his runs (27).
For the season, Sano ranks high in all of the important offensive statistics.
- 7th in AL in HR (10)
- 3rd in AL in RBI (30)
- 7th in AL in R (27)
- 2nd in AL in BB (28)
- 3rd in AL in SLG (.626)
- 3rd in AL in OPS (1.050)
Anyway, this is nothing more than a public service announcement for Kansas City’s starting pitchers this series: Nate Karns, Ian Kennedy and Jason Hammel.
