Miguel Sano is back in the Twin Cities and he’s expected to rejoin the Twins’ lineup tonight against the Texas Rangers at Target Field.
But with Sano up, somebody had to go back down and that somebody is Byung Ho Park, the Twins announced.
Park has struggled mightily with the exception of 12 home runs. In 62 games he’s hitting .191 with 80 strikeouts.
Here’s Park’s month-by-month batting average this season:
- April: .227
- May: .2015
- June: .136
Sano missed every game in June with a hamstring injury. He just wrapped up a rehab assignment at Triple-A Rochester where he hit .160 in eight games while hitting 2 home runs. He also had a ball bounce off his head.
