After a tough loss on the road against Indianapolis Sunday, the Vikings fell to 1-1 on the young NFL season. Does that mean a big drop down in the various power rankings? Well, put it this way: No one moved ’em up a notch.
With Minnesota hosting San Francisco Sunday for a Week 3 Metrodome showdown, here’s how the various list-makers see the Vikes in the 1 through 32 rankings:
FoxSports, for starters, has the Vikes down three notches. It’s Brad Billick’s list (he didn’t like the Vikes on the game call at all on Sunday), and he rips the offensive line.
ESPN has Minnesota down one spot, saying it’s a good idea to have Percy Harvin in the mix.
SBNationalso knocks the Vikes down a spot, but contend that Christian Ponder is not the problem with this team.
The National Football Post (via Yahoo), moves Minnesota down five spots (they moved ’em up five after the Jaguars win), saying that the Purple just might have problems with the rest of the NFC North. We’ll see.
