After an overtime win against Jacksonville Sunday, the Vikings are 1-0 on the young season. Are they primed to move up in those NFL power rankings? You betchya.
With Minnesota headed to Indianapolis Sunday for Week 2 matchup, here’s how the various list-makers see the Vikes in the 1 through 32 rankings:
FoxSports, for starters, has the Vikes up three notches, but also points out that beating the Jags in OT at home “nothing to brag about.”
ESPN has Minnesota up two spots, lauding Adrian Peterson’s “stunning return.”
SBNation also hails Peterson, saying he’ll keep the Purple from hitting rock bottom this year. That wasn’t a compliment.
The National Football Post (via Yahoo), moves Minnesota up five spots, again, on the power of Peterson.
