Just when Kirk Cousins starts lighting opponents up during prime-time games, the NFL has to go and take away one of his opportunities to prove doubters wrong.
Minnesota’s Week 15 game at the Los Angeles Chargers was scheduled to be played on Sunday Night Football but because the Chargers are out of contention in the AFC the game has been flexed out of prime time and moved to a 3:05 p.m. kickoff.
Replacing the Vikings-Chargers game is the AFC battle between the Buffalo Bills (8-3) and Pittsburgh Steelers (7-5).
The Vikings-Chargers game will now be televised on CBS.
At the very least, it gives the Vikings an extra 3-4 hours to prepare for what could be an epic showdown with the Packers in Week 16, which will be played on Monday Night Football.
