Minnesota Wild goaltender Cam Talbot provided a highlight on Thursday night as he stopped a slap shot with his face mask.
Talbot made the save during the second period of the Wild’s game with the St. Louis Blues. Justin Faulk wound up the heater from the blue line and unleashed it toward the net. As the puck came screaming in, Talbot stopped the shot with his helmet and became wedged in his face mask.

Talbot was fine, but his helmet needed some work after the play.
Yep. That's a hockey puck stuck in Cam Talbot's mask.
And to think, they used to play this game without helmets and masks… pic.twitter.com/IRR6T5pnxD

Talbot’s save was part of building a 2-0 lead for the Wild despite being outshot by the Blues 24-8 through the first two periods.
