Andrew Wiggins is the racking up frequent flyer miles to the rim this season, and his highlight reel already includes two of the NBA’s top plays so far.
At No. 3 on NBA.com’s top 10 plays of the month is Wiggins’ late-game dunk from Sunday against the Heat, and the No. 1 play of October is Wiggins’ game-winning 35-foot 3 to beat the Thunder at the buzzer.
Both plays by Wiggins came in late-game, clutch situations. NBA.com defines clutch moments as any play that happens in the last five minutes of a game where the score is within five points.
According to NBA.com, Wiggins has attempted 11 shots in clutch situations – the most on the team. Jimmy Butler is the second go-to option with nine clutch shot attempts.
