Vikings defensive tackle Tom Johnson was flagged for playing football, or roughing the passer, according to NFL referees.
In what would have been a three-and-out for the Saints, Johnson’s roughing the passer penalty extended a New Orleans drive which led to a field goal.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero tweeted out the rule for hitting a quarterback too low.

Ref: "Roughing the passer."
Everyone: "You mean a sack."
Ref: "No, it's roughing the passer."

If that is a roughing the passer penalty, the Vikings should be '09 Super Bowl Champions. #JustSaying
