The South Korean slugger the Twins won rights to negotiate with hit a monster home run over the weekend.
Byung-Ho Park, playing for the South Korean team against the U.S., hit a 3-run shot to left field in the third inning that put his team up 7-0, MLB.com writes. According to the World Baseball Softball Confederation website, it’s believed to be the longest home run hit at the Tokyo Dome this year.
The Star Tribune though tempers expectations, noting the home run came against a U.S. team that doesn’t have a player on any MLB 40-man roster.
Park hit .343 with 53 homers and 146 RBIs in 140 games this season in Korea. The Twins have until Dec. 8 to sign him (the end of a 30-day window).
