Typically, when professional baseball players dive for a baseball they make the catch or come up just short.

Souza made the diving attempt only to get up and laugh at how pathetically far away he was. Three of him could’ve made the dive and he still wouldn’t have made the catch.
But Souza got the last laugh. He homered into the second deck in the top half of the seventh.
