Miguel Sano’s home run in the bottom of the third against the White Sox gave the Twins another team record.
Not only did the ball travel 482 feet but Sano is the fifth player on the Twins with 30 home runs on the season, which sets an MLB record and another impressive benchmark for the team this season.

Sano’s blast is the second longest in Target Field history, as Hall of Famer Jim Thome’s tape-measure shot traveled 490 feet in 2011.
It was the 289th home run of the season for Minnesota, who entered the game with 287 long balls, which is one more than the New York Yankees have had this season.
Ryan LaMarre also got on in the fun, starting Tuesday’s game and solo blast for his first home run of the season.
The Twins currently lead the Indians by five games in the Central Division, and could clinch their ticket to the postseason by this weekend.
