Miguel Sano was hit by a fastball on his left hand and forced to leave Friday’s game against the Rangers.
Tony Barnette’s running fastball up-and-in sent Sano to the ground in pain in the bottom of the sixth inning. The team trainer and manager Paul Molitor checked Sano’s left hand/wrist and pulled him from the game.

Sano missed two games last week after getting hit by a pitch in the same hand against the Dodgers.
Fox Sports North announced that X-rays on Sano Friday night came back negative, so he’s dealing with a simple contusion to his hand.
Expect him to be day-to-day.
