With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, Miguel Sano came off the bench and sent the Atlanta Braves to the showers with a pinch-hit walk-off home run giving the Twins a 5-3 win.

For Sano, it was his 19th homer of the season, and he apparently called his shot in a conversation with Twins assistant hitting coach Rudy Hernandez.
“I felt when the game got tied, I told Rudy, if nobody does anything, I’m going to take care of it,” Sano said, according to ESPN. “When you’ve got something in your heart and you feel it, that’s one of the biggest things. When I went out and hit, I was just thinking, one swing and come back to the dugout. It’s unbelievable.”
The win is the 70th of the season for the Twins, who are now 28 games over .500 and four games ahead in the AL Central after the Indians were shutout 1-0 by Mike Minor and the Rangers.
The Twins and Indians meet in a four-game series starting Thursday at Target Field.
Max Kepler also homered for the Twins, his team-leading 31st of the season. He’s homered eight times in his last 15 games.
Minnesota has won four straight for the first time since winning six in a row May 21-26, and they’ve won nine of 11 overall.
