Ryan Malone, a former NHL veteran who’s been out of the league for nearly three years is attempting a comeback.
He didn’t make the Wild’s roster in training camp, but he’s down in Iowa at Minnesota’s AHL affiliate. And Malone, who’s 37, isn’t afraid to drop the gloves, as he was in two different fights over the weekend.

Both fights took place against Milwaukee Admirals as the two teams played back-to-back games. Malone’s first bout came on Saturday when an opposing player took a few shots at top prospect Luke Kunin.
And on Sunday, Malone dropped the gloves again, this time pummeling Milwaukee’s Cody Brass.
The former standout at St. Cloud State University is a former six-time 20 goal scorer and has skated 342 games in his NHL career, making stops in Pittsburgh, Tamps Bay and New York.
