Reggie Lynch had a team-high 16 points in the Gophers’ 65-58 win on Friday over the Michigan State Spartans. The Edina native also had a game-high 1 lost tooth.
While defending Nick Ward in the second half, Ward’s hand came down on Lynch’s face, knocking his tooth out.
If you have a strong stomach, check out the tooth come loose in the slow-motion replay below.

“I got hit in the face a couple times before the tooth got knocked out, so I knew what I was getting into,” Lynch said to reporters after the game.
Luckily, Lynch was able to return, helping the Gophers hold off the Spartans.
However the team did lose Akeem Springs to an achilles injury and it sounds like it could be season ending, according to Marcus Fuller of the Star Tribune.
Losing Springs would be a big loss, as the senior guard was averaging 9.6 points and 23 minutes per game this season.
Next up for the Gophers is the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday at noon.
