Minnesota Twins starter Pablo Lòpez wasn’t selected for this year’s MLB All-Star Game but the right-hander learned he will be heading to Seattle as a replacement during a surprise announcement during a game against the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday afternoon.
López learned of his selection shortly after the seventh-inning stretch as fans were told to remain standing for “a special announcement.” A video package played on the scoreboard at Target Field revealed that López will be making his first career All-Star appearance.
