It’s no secret that the Timberwolves have endured their fair share of rough moments, but this is the first time we can recall them being the correct answer (question, really) in a “Jeopardy!” category.
Answer: “In 2008 the Mavericks used a 22-2 run to erase a 70-41 deficit, making this Minnesota team howl.”
Question: “Who are the Timberwolves.”
It’s not Jeopardy’s fault that they found it easier (we assume) to find a negative reason the Wolves would howl then finding something positive to howl about, but that’s the result of missing the playoffs almost every season in franchise history.
And it’s not Jeopardy’s fault that the Timberwolves own the worst winning percentage of any franchise in NBA history. Their 980 wins pales in comparison to their 1,496 losses.
But hey, at least the contestant knows who the Timberwolves are. Baby steps in the right direction…

By the way, that 22-2 run by the Mavericks still saw the Wolves up by double-digits entering the fourth quarter, but they blew the lead and wound up losing 107-100.
