If there was any concern that the Bomba Squad would need some time to get back to their 2019 form, Max Kepler put those thoughts to rest in their season opener in Chicago on Friday night.
As White Sox starter Lucas Giolito delivered the first pitch of the season, Kepler sent a bullet into right field and delivered the first “Bomba” of the year, putting the Twins up 1-0.

The Twins would add three more runs in the top of the first, with Mitch Garver pitching in with a sacrifice fly and a Jake Cave delivering a two-RBI single to give the Twins an early 4-0 lead.
