Mikko Koivu had himself a third period in Minnesota’s 5-4 road victory over the San Jose Sharks late Thursday night.
The Wild captain tied the game 4-4 with a goal midway through the third and he scored the game-winner less than two minutes later. But simply describing it as the winning goal doesn’t do Koivu’s shot, nor Mikael Granlund’s pass, justice.
