The Minnesota Vikings are on bye this week and many players have taken the opportunity to head to a tropical destination.
For Kirk Cousins, that opportunity is complicated as he continues to recover from a torn Achilles suffered in an Oct. 29 win over the Green Bay Packers.
With the Vikings quarterback still unable to walk without crutches, heading to the beach seems like an inconvenience but he made the most of it by crawling on all fours into the ocean in a video posted to his Instagram account.
Cousins’ ability to make lemonade out of lemons is nothing new. He showed up to a team function on a scooter two days after suffering the injury and dished out Thanksgiving meals on a pair of crutches last month.
While Cousins hasn’t gone as far as Aaron Rodgers, who returned to practice this week after suffering an Achilles tear in the opening game of the season, the video had fans joking he could return to save the Vikings offense at some point as Kevin O’Connell decides between Josh Dobbs, Nick Mullens and Jaren Hall to start the next game against the Raiders on Dec. 10.

Kirk Cousins underwent the same procedure for the same injury with the same doctors as Rodgers. 79 days from October 29th, the date of Kirk's injury, is January 16th.
The divisional round of the NFL playoffs begins on January 20th. https://t.co/I9qaVo8Yig
