Danny Santana hit one of the longest homers of the year for the Twins today.
The Twins’ utility player got a rare start in right field and he took advantage in his first at-bat (hitting eighth in the lineup) and smoked a pitch 437 feet off the facing of the second deck just right of center field.
According to ESPN’s Home Run Tracker, it’s the second-longest home run at Target Field this season. The only one longer was Miguel Sano’s blast on Tuesday.
Santana’s home run came one at-bat after Eddie Rosario hit a solo homer.
The Oakland A’s tweeted that the solo homers were “very Star Ways Day” of the Twins.
