There were tears shed at Target Field as the Minnesota Twins won their first playoff game since 2004 on Tuesday, and we’re sure there were plenty of emotional scene for those listening to the game on the radio.
Cory Provus, broadcasting on 830 WCCO-AM and 102.9FM The Wolf, could not hide his delight as Jhoan Duran registered the final out to secure a 3-1 win for the Twins over the Toronto Blue Jays.
Provus pumped his fist as Duran stepped on first base, and soon after proclaimed: “Twins win! Twins win! The Minnesota Twins win a playoff game!”

In the aftermath of the 3-1 win, there were many Twins fans sharing their reactions after almost two decades of playoff hurt, with some being brought to tears by the magnitude of the moment.
“Great call by Corey. I had tears while I was driving. Corey called it like we all felt it. Simply the best,” Brenda Vaught commented on Twitter.
