With the Wild trailing by 1 in the final minutes of their game with the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night, they pulled their goalie for the extra attacker.
Shortly after Charlie Coyle scored a goal to send the game to overtime.
It was Coyle’s team leading 8th goal this season and it’s his third goal in his last two games.
With the game still scoreless after the overtime period, it was settled in a shootout with the Blues getting the win.
The shootout loss still gives the Wild 26 points on the season which is good for third place in the central division.
#mnwild takes a point in St. Louis, moving to 11-7-3 on the season – the 25 pts rank third in the Central Div. & T-4th in the Western Conf.
