Trailing 86-84 in overtime with just seconds left on the clock and Windom at the free-throw line, Blue Earth Area’s odds of escaping with a win didn’t look too good.
But Windom’s free throw didn’t fall, and Blue Earth Area’s Max Loge came down with the rebound. He didn’t even take a dribble before heaving up a shot from the free-throw line on the opposite end of the court.
Loge’s shot from three-quarters court went right through the hoop, leading to an 87-86 overtime victory for Blue Earth Area on Saturday.
