Brian Dozier isn’t putting up the big numbers he did during his time with the Twins, but all those dance parties the Twins used to have in the clubhouse have paid off big time.
Dozier and the Washington Nationals clinched a playoff berth Tuesday night, and the celebration in the team’s clubhouse featured a half-naked Dozier centering a dance party, and Dozier didn’t hold back.

Kelyn Soong’s full recount of the madness can be found here, where it’s noted that Dozier was soaked in beer and singing along with teammates to Puerto Rican artist Pedo Capo’s song, “Calma.”
Dozier is hitting .233/.337/.421 with 19 homers and 47 RBI in 131 games this season, his first with the Nationals after going to the playoffs with the Dodgers last season. Minnesota traded Dozier to the Dodgers before the trade deadline in July 2018.
The Nationals will likely face the Brewers in the wild-card round, which is a one-game playoff for the right to advance and face the Dodgers in the best-of-five National League Divisional Series.
