Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Anthony Edwards added to his rookie season highlight reel on Sunday night as he unleashed another poster-worthy dunk in the Wolves’ win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
With the Timberwolves leading by double-digits in the fourth quarter, Edwards got the ball on the perimeter and split the Portland defense. While Robert Covington was there to contest, Edwards leaped and abused the rim for the highlight-worthy slam.

Much like Edwards’ dunk over Yuta Watanabe and the Toronto Raptors, this slam created several poster-worthy angles that are coming to a college dorm near you.

Along with his superstar-worthy jams, Edwards showed off his charisma after the game when describing the play.
“I be smiling every time because I know people don’t want to jump because of what they saw a couple of weeks ago,” Edwards told Fox Sports North. “I just try to power dunk it every time to put more fear in them so they don’t want to jump at all.”
Unlike the last time Edwards threw down a poster dunk, he backed it up with a strong game. Edwards scored a career-high 34 points including six 3-pointers in the 114-112 victory, which made Karl-Anthony Towns glad the Wolves selected the 19-year-old with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

“Let me say it was the right decision for us as an organization,” Towns said. “I want to make that clear…the sky’s the limit. He’s going to be really good for a long time.”
