Sam Warning scored a pair of goals to lead the Minnesota Gophers to a 5-1 win over Bemidji State on Saturday night in Bemidji. Jusrin Kloos added a goal and an assist for the Gophers.
Minnesota outshot the Beavers 31-25.
Bemidji got out to a 1-0 lead on a goal from Jeff Jubinville got the Beavers on the scoreboard, but goalie Adam Wilcox and the Gopher defense shut the door after that, as Bemidji didn’t score the rest of the night.
That allowed the Gophers to rattle off five unanswered goals to win the game.
Wilcox finished with 24 saves.
