Blair Walsh saw his streak of 12 straight 50-plus yard field goals made come to an end Monday, as he came up short on a 53-yarder.
Not like Walsh, who has never had a problem with distance, and the obvious assertion that Walsh’s hamstring was worse than was led on leading up to the Monday Night Football clash proved to be the case.
Walsh wouldn’t concede that the hamstring was the reason he missed the kick, but would say that its feeling better, despite a report that the leg is still bothering him.
As for Adrian Peterson, who’s lack of presence at practice today was overshadowed by Leslie Frazier revealing Josh Freeman has a concussion, his hammy luck is not as fortunate as the kicker’s.
After missing practice today, Peterson has now been limited or missed every practice since the beginning of last week.
AP’s production of just 28 yards on 13 carries Monday suggests the injury is limiting him on the field, as he has not had that low of a yardage output without being hampered by injury since 2009.
Adrian Peterson's 28 yards were his fewest since he had 26 vs Oak in 2011 (left in 2Q) and NYG in 2010 (hurt coming in, left in 4Q).

Despite the output Monday and Peterson missing multiple practices over the last week, his status does not appear to be in doubt for the Vikings matchup with Green Bay Sunday night.
