Former Vikings tight end Visanthe Shiancoe signed with the New England Patriots on Tuesday. He spent the past five season in Minnesota, catching 36 passes for over 400 yards last year. Shiancoe’s deal is for one-year worth $1.2-million. Only $400-thousand of the deal is guaranteed, with $800-thousand in incentives.
Meanwhile, former Vikings middle linebacker E.J. Henderson is still searching for a new team. He tells CBS that he’s “ready to play” and “waiting for the call.” Henderson still lives in Minnesota, and “would love to retire here.”
