For many football enthusiasts, the final week of the preseason just means the regular season is one week closer. But for many others, including Leslie Frazier, it’s a chance to see what the rest of your team consists of, outside of the starters.
While Christian Ponder, Adrian Peterson, and Percy Harvin won’t be on the field tomorrow night in Houston, the fourth preseason game marks a spot for some current Vikings to win jobs according to KFAN’s AJ Mansour, while others are looking to win contributing spots.
You also won’t see many of the Houston stars such as Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson, but like the Vikings, this game means a lot for spots that aren’t a lock yet.
If nothing else, perhaps the Vikes can put up a performance like they did last year to end the exhibition season on a high note, although the 2012 team looks, umm, different than the 2011 version.
