Yannick Ngakoue’s time with the Vikings lasted just six games as Minnesota has traded the former Pro Bowl defensive end to the Baltimore Ravens, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, which has been confirmed by the Vikings.
Minnesota sent the Jaguars a 2021 second-round pick and 2022 conditional fifth-round draft picks for Ngakoue a couple of weeks before the season started, and they’ve recouped most of that draft capital in the trade with Baltimore.
Per Schefter, the Ravens are giving the Vikings a 2021 third-round pick and a 2022 conditional fifth-round pick. All in all, it’s a loss for the Vikings as they essentially traded what is now looking likely to be a high second-round pick for a low third-round pick just to have Ngakoue play six games.

More importantly, it’s a signal that the Vikings are waving the white flag after starting the season 1-5. The NFL trade deadline is Nov. 3 and with the Vikings on bye this week, the next time they step on the field they could have an entirely different set of starters.
